Does your organization qualify?
ACCEL/Exchange requires that Network Members be Insured Depository Financial Institutions (IDFIs) or wholly owned subsidiaries of IDFIs located in the United States and Canada. Although ACCEL/Exchange membership is limited to IDFIs, non-IDFI organizations, referred to as “Service Providers,” are able to participate in the Network.

Service Providers gain access to ACCEL/Exchange through sponsorship by an existing Network Member. Service Providers perform certain Network service functions on behalf of one or more Members and fall into one of three categories: Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), Member-Sponsored Processors (which includes Merchant Processors) or Encryption and Support Organizations (ESOs), as described below:

  • ISO - An ISO is a non-Member organization or individual that sells Network services to Merchants on behalf of a Member.
  • Member-Sponsored Processor (includes Merchant or ATM Processors) - A Member-Sponsored Processor is a non-Member organization that performs specific processing functions on behalf of a Member.
  • ESO - An ESO is a non-Member organization that performs encryption functions on behalf of a Member.
