Eliminating Borders: THE EXCHANGE^® Network in Canada

ACCEL/Exchange is widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing ATM Networks in the United States, with over 180,000 ATMs today. Through a partnership with FICANEX Services, THE EXCHANGE is also rapidly growing as a national Network in Canada, with more than 2,100 ATMs throughout Canada to date.

FICANEX manages THE EXCHANGE^® Canadian Network and facilitates ATM access to financial institutions through a licensing arrangement with ACCEL/Exchange. In addition, FICANEX provides support services to ACCEL/Exchange member financial institutions and participants in Canada.

This successful relationship is not surprising considering the fact that over two decades ago ACCEL/Exchange and FICANEX Services joined forces to become the first bank ATM network with international service.

Growth of ACCEL/Exchange in both countries looks bright, and the convenience provided to ACCEL/Exchange cardholders in both countries increases with each new Member.

• Any Canadian depository financial institution (DFI) wanting to join THE EXCHANGE Network in Canada can do so through FICANEX Services.
• A U.S. DFI wanting to allow a subsidiary operating in Canada to install ATMs in Canada that offer ACCEL/Exchange access can do so through FICANEX Services.
• U.S. ACCEL/Exchange cardholders have access to THE EXCHANGE terminals in Canada, and vice versa.
• Transactions are surcharge-free at ACCEL/Exchange ATMs in Canada and participating ATMs in the U.S.
